Editor's Note
The DNN ecosystem continues to build momentum as we lead into DNN Summit, which is just two weeks away! Speaking of DNN Summit, the conference is shaping up to be a great event. The speakers, sessions, keynotes, and “slopes” activities make for a top-notch conference experience. I’m excited for the event as there will be a lot of great content shared and announcements made at the conference. Also, the DNN Summit team still wants your feedback whether you’re going to the conference or not. Share your thoughts with the team by taking the DNN Summit survey.
Continuing on the conference front, our friends across the pond at DNN-Connect have opened registration. Be sure to check out the conference info on the DNN-Connect site. This year’s European based DNN conference will be held June 6-9 in Champrey, Switzerland.
Have you heard of Kiva? Did you know there is a DNN Community team on Kiva? Kiva is a non-profit organization that allows people to lend money via the Internet to low-income entrepreneurs and students in over 80 countries. Kiva's mission is "to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty."
The DNN Community made good progress in 2018 as we increased our lending. Let’s try to top this in 2019! Below is a graphic of our impact last year and you can access the live Kiva Report anytime on the DNN Community Team’s impact page. We hope you’ll join our team!

Spotlight: .NET Foundation Open Membership
In case you’re not aware, DNN is a project in the .NET Foundation. Joining the .NET Foundation last year was a big deal for our platform and community. Microsoft created the .NET Foundation in 2014 to foster .NET open source development and collaboration.
An important shift has occurred within the .NET Foundation org structure. Staying true to open source roots, the .NET Foundation has opened membership up to the open source community and is expanding the technical steering group. This is yet again another great strategic move.
You can read more about the announcement, election process, and foundation updates in the latest blog post on their site “Announcing .NET Foundation Open Membership”. We hope to see some DNN community members active in the .NET Foundation!

Great Websites & Applications Start with IowaComputerGurus
We’ve been building mobile responsive websites, portals, and applications on DNN for more than twelve years. And as full-stack developers, we’ve had our hands under the hood – writing industry-standard texts, contributing code, building modules, and crafting white paper resources on great DNN development since day one.
Simply stated, no one knows more about DNN than we do.
It’s All About Having the Right Tool for the Job
We also know when to bring in additional code resources — .NET Core, ASP.NET, C# — when
it’s needed. We know how to design, build, and optimize blazing-fast databases to bring
everything up to speed. And we can create brilliant stand-alone mobile apps to support the
entire project — keeping everything on-brand and delivering on the big idea.
Security, Accessibility, & Compliance
It used to be that only Finance, Medical, and Government businesses worries about these
things — and we’ve done a lot of those projects over the years. But these days, everyone is
paying attention to security, accessibility, and compliance. We know how to lock a site down
and pass all the right tests.
Full Projects, Consultations, Individual Tasks, & Support
The best part is that you can access our team for big projects and small ones. We’ve used our
entire team to build complete solutions and been brought in to work on individual performance
optimization and testing tasks. And if you have a technology team in place, we’ve even
developed custom support and training solutions to help everyone level-up. It’s all about what
you need to get the job done.
We have a ton of resources and sample projects available on our website. Check it out. And
even if you just want to ask questions about DNN, the Microsoft technology stack, or your
specific project, give us a call or send us a note. We’re always happy to help.
