New Community Website

Ordinarily, you'd be at the right spot, but we've recently launched a brand new community website... For the community, by the community.

Yay... Take Me to the Community!

The Community Blog is a personal opinion of community members and by no means the official standpoint of DNN Corp or DNN Platform. This is a place to express personal thoughts about DNNPlatform, the community and its ecosystem. Do you have useful information that you would like to share with the DNN Community in a featured article or blog? If so, please contact .

The use of the Community Blog is covered by our Community Blog Guidelines - please read before commenting or posting.

Editor's Note

I’ve just returned from Microsoft’s annual Build Conference. It was a great conference and I assisted with the .NET Open Source booth. We educated attendees on the underlying values of open source and the benefits that projects in the .NET Foundation, such as DNN, are able to leverage by being in the .NET Foundation. It was great to participate in the conference and spread the open source software goodness. If you are unsure about the resources the DNN Community leverages by being a member of the .NET Foundation, check out my previous blog “5 Reasons Why We’re Glad to Be a Part of the .NET Foundation”. The .NET Foundation truly is a critical part to the success of the platform.

DNN platform version 9.3.2 was released a little over a week ago. Thanks to the contributors, and the hard work and planning of the DNN Technology Advisory Group on this release. Check out DNN platform 9.3.2 on GitHub. Also, we are looking for more community members to assist with testing release candidates. By testing I mean simply performing tasks like creating a page, adding a module, and creating a user. Would you be willing to help test release candidates in the future? If so, please respond to this email and I’ll get back in touch with you.

DNN Technology Ecosystem Advisory Group leader, Mitchel Sellers, has posted several blogs recently that everyone should know about. In the first blog he talks about DNN 10, the next major release of DNN, and what he and the DNN TAG team are looking to achieve with the release. He also posted a blog about the DNN Platform’s Update Service that was very informative and transparent. And on the heels of the announcements from this week’s MS Build conference, Mitchel posted a blog about .NET Core, .NET 5 and what it all means for the future of DNN. It’s great to see this communication and leadership around the roadmap for the platform and community… great job Mitchel!

Last but not least, we are looking forward to a great DNN-Connect conference early next month! It will be here before you know it. The conference sessions list is being populated and is looking nice. There will be some great content and wisdom shared at the conference along with a lot of relationships and friendships being made. I hope to include updates from the conference in next month’s digest!
