Editor's Note
As we head into the holiday season, we continue to see a lot of positive activity in the DNN Ecosystem. As the Ecosystem Manager, I am fortunate to be able to see activity going on all across the community. The majority of the activity stems from the Ecosystem Advisory Groups. It’s great to see the groups continue to make progress, but the EAG’s aren’t the only ones making some noise.
As of today we have arrived at the DNN 9.3 “Code Freeze” date. The DNN Technology Advisory Group indicates that version 9.3 will be a minor release with the Async/Deferred CDF Provider included, a new UI for Google Analytics, and with a great deal of clean up (resulting in updated developer dependencies throughout the AdminExperience and React.Common repositories). The best part about these enhancements is that they all came from community members just like you!
On the DNN conference front we’ve had a few exciting announcements from across the globe:
The team behind DNN Summit announced that Jon Galloway will be the keynote speaker. Jon is Executive Director of the .NET Foundation and Senior Program Manager at Microsoft focused on .NET and Web Development. He is very well known in the Microsoft community and should be a great keynote speaker. Also, DNN Summit has posted all conference training options, speakers, and sessions to the site. There is some really great content to be shared with the community. The DNN Summit team is even sweetening the pot by offering a DNN Help Lab and free Business Round Table. We hope to see you there!
Across the pond, the team behind DNN-Connect just announced their 2019 conference location and dates. DNN-Connect 2019 will be held June 6 - 9, 2019 in the sleepy mountain resort of Champery, Switzerland. This initial announcement serves as a save-the-date for attendees with registration becoming available at a later date.
It will be 2019 before we know it and we’ll ring in another year in the DNN Community. We have seen a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and progress over the past year and it will surely continue in 2019. Thanks for being here, contributing, and playing your part in the DNN Community. We have come a long way over the past year and we are happy to have you along for the ride. Exciting things just around the corner for the community in 2019.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year… we’ll see you in 2019!

The Toronto based DNN User Group, TADUG, will host their monthly meeting on January 9th. The meeting will feature Andrew Hoefling presenting on Building DNN Modules with Google APIs. Andrew will help you find ways to not reinvent the wheel when building a DNN module such as taking advantage of Google APIs for tasks like streaming videos. DNN makes parts of this easier for you, you just need to know where to look..

Spotlight: DNN .NET Core, and the Road Ahead
DNN Technology Advisory Group Leader, Mitchel Sellers, posted a blog about DNN, .NET Core and the Road Ahead. As the roadmap and future of DNN is a popular topic I think this blog is a great one to keep you “in the loop” with the future direction as decided by the DNN TAG..
Featured Content: Blazor Overview by Steve Sanderson
One of the topics discussed a lot recently in the DNN TAG and in Microsoft circles is one of Microsoft’s latest technologies, Blazor. In this video Steve Sanderson, who works on the Blazor team, presented on Blazor at a tech conference. It’s a great explainer video. Check it out to see what’s ahead for Microsoft in the world of web development.
