From the Editor:
The trend of action within the ecosystem has continued. This action can be seen in several areas such as the progress in the Ecosystem Advisory Groups, transparency in MVP meetings, increased submissions in the DNN Community Showcase, and in the momentum leading up to DNN Summit.
The conference portion of DNN Summit ended last night and the “slopes” attendees are heading up the mountain this morning! Along with a new DNN Summit anthem by Ron Miles and some very nice light sabers from Ryan Moore circulating the conference, several big announcements were made at DNN Summit. Andy Tryba’s opening keynote gave a look into where DNN is headed in the future. He mentioned updates coming to the DNN Partner Program, awarded Cantarus with the 2017 Partner of the Year Award, and reinforced DNN Corp’s commitment to the DNN Community. See the FB Live version of Andy’s keynote.
On day 3 of DNN Summit Shaun Walker had an excellent keynote discussing community rejuvenation. Shaun’s keynote was well received and it was great to see Shaun back involved with the DNN Community. See the FB Live version of Shaun’s keynote.
In other items of interest the team at Cantarus announced their open sourcing of Poly-Deploy, a tool that makes it easy to install multiple extensions at the same time. On the heels of announcing nvQuickTheme, the team at nvisionative announced nvQuickAdmin, a mobile app for managing your DNN site. SiteImprove, in conjunction with DNN Gold level partner Engage, announced their SiteImprove DNN module offering for DNN which will make it easy to make your DNN sites accessible and compliant. Look for more info on the SiteImprove integration coming soon. As you can see, there’s a lot going on within the DNN Ecosystem!
I would also like to thank the team of DNN Summit organizers and volunteers. These individuals are community members just like you who are giving back to the community by organizing and hosting this event. Putting on this level of an event requires a lot of sacrifice in time and energy, planning and review of tons of details, and coordination from several people and teams. Thanks again to the DNN Association and all the volunteers for hosting this conference. The ecosystem is better because of you.

Ever want to customize the email messages that DNN sends out to users? Here's how to do it.
Note: We recommend that you make a back-up copy of your GlobalResources.resx before making edits. This is found in /App_GlobalResources.
Editing via UI
- Settings > Site Settings > Languages >
- Select the language you wish to make these edits for and click the icon outlined in red:
Changes need to be made for each language you support on your site.
- Set your desired Mode. “Global” will make changes that will apply to all portals. Otherwise, select an individual portal.
- Resource > Global Resources > GlobalResources. Resource Names are listed alphabetically and start with “EMAIL.” Scroll until you find them and make your edits.
- Click the "Save Translations to File" button to save your edits.
If you prefer not to go thru the UI, you can always make direct edits to the GlobalResources.resx file. Remember that edits to this file will apply globally. To make portal-specific edits, copy your GlobalResources.resx file and rename it GlobalResources.Portal-X.resx (where X = the Portal ID).
