The new and great activity of the community and the Adviser Groups brings me back to my free time to work actively on DNN. I hope this activity by myself, inspires active and new members of the community.

This month we were joined by DNN Technology and Developer Advisory Group member Matt Rutlege. Matt Rutledge spoke about some new tooling he has created for rapid DNN extension development called the "DNN Generator". Welcome to modern DNN extension development!

This July 17th, 2018 meeting provided discussion on 9.2.1, semantic versioning, goals for 9.2.2 and beyond.

This July 10th, 2018 meeting saw discussion on Liquid Content, .NET Core development patterns, hotfixes, and future releases.

Over time, a large number of DNN modules (extensions) have been created by community members in addition to a whole list of commercial extensions created by vendors in various categories. Commercially available extensions are mostly found in the DNN Store. 

Some of the open source extensions are listed in the store as well, but only a small number. There are many more open source free modules, tools, language packs, providers etc. Most of them can be found on GitHub, but not very easily.

Are you tired of JavaScript Framework Churn? Perhaps some of my latest development efforts will help brighten your day and improve your outlook for future DNN development possibilities. While this project is in the early stages, I am so excited about it and wanted to go ahead and share what I am working on for the DNN community. I believe this contribution will have similar, if not greater, impact to future DNN development as some of my previous open source contributions.
