DNN 9.2.2 Released!

The 9.2.2 release has arrived and it’s arrival signals several milestones worthy of mentioning. It represents great progress in the community, collaboration with DNN Corp, and it is the first 100% community driven release in a long time. If you haven’t upgraded this is a great time to get current and we’d like to thank all community members who contributed to this release.

A Milestone for the Community
If you’ve been around the DNN Community for some time you will know that in recent years DNN Corp has been responsible for posting releases of the open source project. When DNN was acquired new CEO, Andy Tryba, denoted that the community would lead again. Since that announcement there has been a lot of self-organization in the community and several people stepping up and taking ownership of various tasks.

Along with resources provided by the .NET Foundation the community has reached a big milestone by posting the 9.2.2 release as the first 100% community driven release in a long time! This includes generating the release and posting the installation packages. We are indeed in a new era of DNN.

What’s New in 9.2.2
There were 29 pull requests in the platform repository and 24 pull requests in the persona bar repository in this release. You can find detailed info about the changes in 9.2.2 in the “Release Notes” section on GitHub, but at a high level there were 2 security fixes, performance improvements, registration improvements, control panel stabilization, and improvements to MVC support in DNN. Organizationally speaking there were merging of repos and cleaning up of project structures on GitHub.

Thank You Contributors!
If you are downloading this release and using it then join me in thanking all of the contributors and maintainers who have made this release possible. Here are the links to our contributor’s names and their GitHub profiles.

The community is gaining momentum and we are pleased with our list of contributors, but we’d love to see it be even bigger. Won’t you join us in contributing to the DNN Platform? I hope to see you on this list for the next release.

With that said the only thing left to do is…
Download The 9.2.2 Release!
