DotNetNuke community members around the world will be thrilled to learn that the first ever DotNetNuke OpenForce 07! conferences will be held this year. Whilst many open source communities struggle to create a professional face, the DotNetNuke team has successfully evolved both their project and their community and are now able to hold first rate conferences in both Europe and North America during the coming months.
I will be making the long journey from Australia accompanied by two fellow staff members (Philip Beadle, Daniel Bartholomew and I all work at Readify) and I'm thinking it will be fun and madness on the plane over with us enjoying many free bevies as we zoom across to (Viva) Las Vegas to attend the North American chapter of exciting event.
There are many reasons to attend DotNetNuke OpenForce 07! Firstly, there is the list of first class DNN presenters including all four DNN Corporation members, as well as a large number of DNN Core Team members including my husband Philip Beadle - MVP (ASP/ASP.NET). For long time supporters of the DNN Community such as myself, the chance to meet and chat with these people is reason enough in itself!
Secondly, attendees of the North American conference also receive free entry to a large array of other Microsoft technology-focused conferences being held at the same time at DevConnections.
And finally, if those aren't enough reasons to start packing your bags, one lucky attendee will be leaving this year's DotNetNuke OpenForce 07 conference with a smile on their face and the wind in their hair when they win the prize draw of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
DotNetNuke OpenForce 07! is being held in The Netherlands (17-18 Sept, 2007) and North America (5-8 Nov, 2007) and is set to be an exciting time for all.
