Hi,

I have just installed my server and configured most of what needs to be configured. I can view my website from work, but can NOT log in, using admin or any other user that is created...

I can log in on my server though, so that does work, it just does not work remotely.

Is there anyone that can help me with this please let me know.

ThanX

Brad

Right now more general support issues would get more exposure and faster response times if they were posted over on asp.net/forums.

To answer your question, it seems you are missing the portal alias to access the site beyond localhost/virdir.

Go into the local machine and add the alias you want to be able to see remotely.  The default page picks up the unknown alias to prevent that generic error page from showing.

Hi,

ThanX for the advice, very new at the DNN, but I managed to get it running. I did this NETWORK thing previously and that did not help me, but it was something else. PLayed around and changed a few things at once so I am not too sure what specifically it was, but it is all up and running ;)

Ciao

Brad
