Last night I made some comments about the new forge, which can only be called negative.  This was never my intention!, the responses I received today made me realise that....

I do think the new look to the forge is excellent and great improvement on the old one.  Hopefully this new look and navigation will prompt more people to create open source projects for DNN.

While I still have some reservations about content area, I would like to say well done to all involved in this improvement....and thank you!

Regards,
Dave.

David, I have changed the word 'Popularity' to 'Downloads'. Your original post made it clear to me that the word popularity wasn't an accurate way to describe what that number really means. Eventually, we hope there will be enough reviews to make 'rating' some type of search and/or sorting method but for now (since its new and there is no data) this wouldn't be very helpful.

OK Chris, great to hear the forge will continue to be improved as an ongoing process.

I don;t know what data feed you get from codeplex, but could the rating sytem on there be used?, and also a good sign of a progessive project is the activity on the codepelx discussion forum....of course the DNN modules don;t have a codeplex forum. ;-).

Regards,
Dave.

The review data from CodePlex is not available to us and we don't have access to any discussion data. Pretty much, everything we have access to from CodePlex (that is reliable) is already being displayed today. Even versions on our side our created on our own (they synch with CodePlex releases but I'll spare you the details about why/how we do this).
