Hi,
We're developing a site using store module and have come across a security issue that we need help resolving.
Version Info: DNN 7.0.4, Store 3.1.7 without source, SQL Express: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM) - 10.50.1600.1 (X64)
All products are virtual. Testing is being done on a host system, not local. Using PayPal as the payment provider. Testing using sandbox.
Problem: User role changes from Registered to Admin.
We have several users we created in Sandbox and also in our site. They're roles are Registered Users Only or Registered and Subscriber. No ohter roles. User selects products and clicks Checkout Now (View my basket) in mini cart. We complete the address info, review the order and Confirm the order. We reach paypal sandbox without issue. If the user logins and uses their paypal account, the transaction processes normally. However, if they don't have a paypal account and pay with a credit card, then when they click return to our website, they have full administrative privledges. The black and white DNN menu appears at the top of the screen. The user id is still the same. Checking user roles, the user now has Administrative, Registered and Subscriber roles. They do not have host access.
Have you seen this problem before? Is it something I've done in the setup? How do I correct it?
Looking forward to hearing from soneone on this.
Cheers,
Larry
