The DNN Technology Ecosystem Advisory Group continues to meet on a weekly basis mapping out the future of DNN. The meeting agenda and minutes are shared here in blog entries so that everyone can see the progress being made and conversations occurring in the group.

This January 22nd meeting we discussed about branching, approvers, labels and milestones as well as testing and more.

1. Review and adoption of agenda

3. Finished business / Reports / Announcements
   1. 9.3.0 RC branch

      There is a release/1.7.0 for AdminExperience and release/9.3.0 in the other repos, please submit pull requests targeting those branches for things that need to go in 9.3.0

   2. Approvers, labels, milestones rules

      Please label pull requests and issues with either “bug” or “feature”,
      Also add “Noteworthy” if it is worth mentioning in the release notes.
      Always set a milestone before merging.

4. Unfinished business / Status updates
   1. Testing.  
      Peter, talked about non-developers collaboration on writing testing instructions. Andrew talked about testing frameworks like selenium. Oliver mentioned there are already test in the project but CI is not running them for now, it is planned to reinstate that. We also talked about Azure test suites with the .net Foundation account.
   2. Evoq Compatibility/Development.

      Conversation with Ash regarding versioning and differences between Platform and Evoq, see https://www.dnnsoftware.com/docs/developers/product-versions.html  we also discussed showing the Platform version and Evoq version separatelly if ever the versions diverge. We discussed a possibility of revamping the installer. See RFC at https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Platform/issues/2537
      We will continue discussing this next week.

   3. Next Version Discussion (No more than 15 minutes)
      Dnn 9.3.1 - Stabilization and minor improvements - : Estimated Code freeze March 15th, RC March 18th, Release April 1st.

      Dnn 9.4.0 - Accessibility focus, vNext API Prototype, cleanup/deprecation minor new features (non breaking) - Estimated Code freeze May 17th RC May 20th Release June 3rd.
      Dnn 10.0 Async, Cloud Scheduler Support, Dependency injection - Estimated Q4.

   4. Admin Experience versioning:
      Postponed to next week.
5. New business
   1. Meeting Cycles: Should this meeting be held each week?
      Contemplating moving to a bi-weekly meeting to allow the CI/Approvers sub-teams to meet at this time.  This meeting would morph to do more detailed follow-up on RFC’s etc, and a more focused agenda.
