Let's face it, sometimes it is very hard to keep up with everything that is going on in this vibrant DNN Community! People are so freakin' creative and I often think they have way too much free time on their hands in order to pull off some of the amazing accomplishments they do! I am kidding about the "free time" of course. I just know that within each and every DNN Community member, there is a unique and valued talent waiting to be discovered and shared. That is why we proudly present nvQuickPulse.
nvQuickPulse is a mobile app for Android and iOS that serves the purpose of helping you discover and explore the incredible open source projects within the DNN Community. DNN Platform (formerly DotNetNuke) is known for being a powerful framework that can be extended in so many ways. Chances are you have only scratched the surface of all that is available within our open source community.
It is easy to question from time to time what is going on the DNN Community. Some of the most amazing community talents are actually quite hidden and not everyone takes the time to nvQuickShare their accomplishments. :)
With nvQuickPusle you can quickly check the pulse of the DNN Open Source Community. This app utilizes the GitHub API to surface valuable information about DNN related repositories and their activity. You are able to view statistics that are not even viewable via the GitHub website! Search and explore projects that otherwise would be very hard to find.
But wait, there's more! This is not just some cool app that somebody developed as a "one-off" contribution to the community. No. It is actually open source as well. Check out the project on GitHub:

Here you can do all the following:
- "Star" the project
Let us know you like the project and are interested in it by clicking the "Star" button at the top right area of the repository page.
- "Watch" the project
Be notified of the project activity by clicking the "Watch" button at the top right area of the repository page.
- "Fork" the project
Create your own version of the repository to play around, learn how to develop an Ionic mobile app, or contribute to the project.
- Submit an "Issue" to the project
We would love to hear your ideas on how the mobile app can be improved moving forward. Perhaps you found a bug or have an enhancement request. Click the "New Issue" button and let us know your thoughts!
- Contribute to the project via a "Pull Request"
Not only do we like to hear your ideas on how the mobile app can be improved, we love to process your contributions to the project via pull requests. Take a look through the "Issues" and see if there is something you can contribute. We love code contributions, but before you say "I'm not a developer!", let me give you a great example of how you can submit pull requests without having to know the code.
We have built this app with support for internationalization (i18n) right out-of-the-box. So, take a look within the src\assets\i18n folder of the project repository. There you will find JSON files for many country codes. And there is plenty of room for more! Right now, the contents for each file is based on the English language. However, we want this app to be an awesome experience worldwide. This is where YOU can help. If you speak another language, take a few minutes to translate one or more of these files into the language you speak. If you are not comfortable with GitHub, submitting issues, and creating Pull Requests, please let us know and we'll connect you with someone that can help.
We are excited about where this project can go and the benefits it can bring to our DNN Community. Thank you for your interest and here is where you can download the app.
