New Community Website

Ordinarily, you'd be at the right spot, but we've recently launched a brand new community website... For the community, by the community.

Yay... Take Me to the Community!

The Community Blog is a personal opinion of community members and by no means the official standpoint of DNN Corp or DNN Platform. This is a place to express personal thoughts about DNNPlatform, the community and its ecosystem. Do you have useful information that you would like to share with the DNN Community in a featured article or blog? If so, please contact .

The use of the Community Blog is covered by our Community Blog Guidelines - please read before commenting or posting.

Promote Your Products on the DNN Store Blog

Promote Your Products on the DNN Store Blog summary image

Did you know the DNN Store has a blog? Do you create open source extensions or sell paid-for products? If so, you are welcome to promote your products, services and OSS extensions on the store blog!

Helping You Reach Your Target Audience
Extension creators & vendors represent a vital part of the DNN ecosystem. We want to do what we can to help you reach your target audience and assist in promoting your extensions, products, and services. As we continue to make updates within the ecosystem and store, we will work to make the blog section more prominent and visible for our users. Also, if you post a blog the DNN Store Twitter account ( @DNNStore ) just might help promote your content as well.

Getting Started Blogging on the Store
If you’re an extension creator, you’re probably reading this wondering how you can get started. Simply send an email to [store @] indicating that you want to blog on the store and I’ll reach back out to you to get everything configured correctly.

Also important is that you check out the store blogging guidelines posted on the DNN Store blog page.

Happy Blogging!
We hope you find the store blog being open to extension creators and vendors as a welcomed update and a new resource available to you for promoting your extensions, products, and services. Using the blog within the proper guidelines should be a win for everyone in the ecosystem. Let’s get the blog party started!

This is a great idea but I feel open source devs and open source consumers have been left behind. I think the extension Forge shouldn't have been shutdown. IF the store is updated and content is properly tagged and categorized so that one can find open source extension then I will agree with the idea of having a single place for paid/free/open source extensions. How does one go about discovering a new open source extension? One just has to hope the dev will blog about it and will hopefully remember the title of the blog to go back to it if needed. There's no category in the DNN store to view all open source extensions. searching for open source returns a bunch of freemium/trial/free and some open source here and there but I don't think the store was ever made for showcasing open source extensions. Once it is able to cater to the open source community the way the Forge did, it should only then be time to retire the Forge but not before there's a place where open source devs can showcase their work without being hidden under a series of pages of irrelevant search results and trial extensions.

Thanks for your comment... you are correct. We hope to open the store up to provide better visibility to OSS extension creators and developers in the future. You should check out the Partners Ecosystem Advisory Group as this is one of the topics being discussed there.
