The last couple of months were very exciting times as we got closer and closer to the 7.2.0 release. Part of my excitement about 7.2.0 is because of some great new features, but I am even more excited by the increased level of community participation that we had for this release.
During this release cycle we saw increased participation not just from long-time core team members, but also from the broader community. We are working hard to make it easier than ever to get involved with DNN and it is starting to pay off. I look forward to continuing this effort with additional training and resources to enable people who want to help but are having trouble getting started.
I want to specifically thank the community members who contributed code during this release. Without them we would not have some of the key features and bug fixes for DNN 7.2.0. Contributors (in no particular order):
Peter Donker, Vicenc Masanas, Henry Tavarez, Ralph Williams, Brian Dukes, Brandon Haynes, Stefan Cullman, Sebastian Leupold, Will Strohl, Julien Girerd and Chris Hammond.
We are already seeing community contributions come in for 7.2.1. If you would like to participate but are unsure where to begin, leave a comment and I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
