I am very happy to announce that Les Benito, Director of Public Web for the Department of Defense will deliver a keynote address at our DNN World conference in October.
As the Director of Public Web for the Defense Media Activity, Les oversees the day-to-day operations of the DoD Public Web program. This program consists of over 500 of DoD's public websites, including defense.gov,
pentagonchannel.mil, af.mil, navy.mil, jcs.mil, marines.mil and dodlive.mil a blogging platform for the Department of Defense. With over 1 million visitors per day, the DoD sites under his management are some of the most popular and influential government sites on the internet. Before joining the Department of Defense, Les was the Chief of the Air Force Public Web program. There he led the most aggressive Website consolidation effort ever attempted in the government. Les holds a BFA in Visual Communications and is a graduate of the Military Photojournalism program from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York.
