Ignite your Passion at DotNetNuke World

Over the last 20 years I have been to a lot of developer and user conferences.  Most of them follow the same format, and generally the standard format works very well.  However, over the last 7 or 8 years, I have seen a few twists on the session format which provides some additional excitement to the conference.

Recently, I attended and spoke at the Charlotte Day of DotNetNuke where the organizers had put together an Ignite session.  This format allows for a greater number of speakers and a little wider scope of topics.  Because of the somewhat chaotic nature of the Ignite session, it generally has a higher level of energy.  Even if the attendees don’t care for one speaker, just wait a couple of minutes and a new speaker will be on stage.

This was a great way to close out the conference and was completely different from anything I had previously seen at other conferences.  There were some great Ignite talks but one of my favorites was the talk given by Clint Patterson.  It is clear that Clint was very passionate about this topic and it was well received by those in attendance.  Imagine a session with 8 speakers who are equally passionate about their topics.

Based on the experience at the Day of DNN, we have decided to add an Ignite session at DotNetNuke World.  Starting today you can submit sessions until the end of August.  We’ll quickly review the sessions and notify the speakers the first week of September and work with them to get their slides in the right format.  So what are you waiting for: go submit your session.
