As of this moment there are 60 (!!) issues that are covered by this new version. Most of these improvements are directly in line with the scope of this version: flexibility in the display and design (templating, themes), easier distribution of events data (extensive RSSFeed) and a huge irmprovement on the data and table structure.
One thing the Events team would like to add to this release is a manual: what the module can do, what settings can do, what scenario's are feasable and more. In short: real user and webmaster documentation. Currently there is almost no real documenation, but format and structure of the new manual is already defined.
And for this we have a request to all viewng this blog and have interest in the Events module: Are you willing to spare some hours free time to write one or chapters and/or paragraphs of the new manual?
Your reward? A beta version of the module before any one else can obtain it.
Expertise needed? A bit: be able to write English, make screen captures, imagine how the module could be used, etc.
We are all volunteers. Please share your knowledge. Any serious input on this point is highly appreciated. If so, please write me an e-mail: ernstpeter.tamminga@dotnetnuke.com.
BTW If you want to be a regular Beta tester for the Events module: register yourself at www.DNNEvents.net and you will be informed when a general beta is available.
