Like Father, Like Son

So, this is it, my first blog post.  I guess I should introduce myself first. My name is Andrew Nurse and I am project lead on the Reports module.  And before you ask, yes I am related to Charles Nurse, I'm his son.

I'm a third-year Computing Science student working towards my Bachelor's degree and I've been working in DNN for a year or so.  I owe my start in programming to my father who taught me Visual Basic 3 when I was young and who was always there for my questions, not matter how simple and repetitive they were (I think I asked him how to open a text file in VB about 50-60 times :D).  Now I do most of my learning in the classroom or on the internet, but I still ask him questions :).

So, enough about me, what's this blog all about?  Well, I hope to be able to provide some information about the progress of the Reports module, I've got lots of great ideas for this powerful module and I want to share them with you.  But this blog is my blog, and while Reports is a part of my programming life, its not the whole thing so I also want to use this blog to share insights into developing for DNN, or even ASP.Net and .Net in general.

So, please keep your arms and legs inside the blog and remember there are two emergency exits, one at the front and one at the back. Enjoy your ride :D
