As a parent, I am keenly aware that fall brings change. My son reminds me of this now on a daily basis as we prepare for our first year of middle school with commensurate "pre-teen" angst. Fall also brings change to DotNetNuke; much of it is long awaited and some of it is just a foretaste of even more exciting change to come. But one long overdue change that bears immediate recognition is change in the membership of the Open Source Community team.
DotNetNuke has come a long way in its 6+ years. And what began as one guy with a hobby has exploded into an ecosystem booming with vendors, clients and commerce. But at the center of it all still beats the strong heart of the most widely adopted MS-based Open Source project in history. Beneath the layers of "process", "permissions" and "policy" is a bunch of good natured folks, personally committed and selflessly giving of their time and talent for the sheer joy of doing something "cool" for the Community.
It is a great honor and privilege to be able to share the Open Source Community Team, Trustees and participating DotNetNuke Corp Employees for the remainder of 2009 (in no particular order).

Over the next few weeks, this team will be continuing to reorient itself in the face of change... maybe even a little angst. But we're excited about the changes fall will bring; reorganized and refocused teams, a dramatic 5.2 core release, improved contributor recognition, updated modules, new community programs, Open Force '09, and much, much more. As we move forward it will be my pleasure to bring you more regular updates on our community activities and enable you to hear from and get to know your Open Source Community Team a little better.
