Wow! It may be cold outside, but summer at DotNetNuke is seriously heating up! And we’ve just made available a number of sizzling desktop backgrounds to keep you fired up until the thermometer catches on! From our first excellent hires in The Netherlands and China to free mobile skins for your site and hints of a huge UI makeover in the latest 6.0 CTP (due any day!)… the blistering pace of progress means big wins for your DotNetNuke website!
So last month you read about our conversion to C#, but did you also know that we hired Ben Zhong? He’s the gentleman behind the C# conversion effort that started more than a year ago. He and Erik van Ballegoij are excellent additions to your DotNetNuke team and part of our serious commitment to Internationalization and Localization of the platform. Today you can only download and install DotNetNuke in English… but don’t count on that lasting for much longer!
Today we have a number of key team members bringing the DotNetNuke heat at the CMS Expo! Shaun Walker, Joe Brinkman, Chris Hammond and others are demonstrating DotNetNuke for Web Designers, Developers and Business Professionals from around the country. This comes right on the heels of a successful MIX11 OpenSourceFest and TechEd North America! DotNetNuke on Windows Azure figured prominently in both those events and will definitely be a continuing part of the summer heat!
Some summer Community Events include WebConnections DotNetNuke Conference in Hamburg, Germany June 16 & 17, featuring a cruise ship outing (way to stay cool)! And on this side of the Atlantic, Scott Willhite will be cooling off the summer heat delivering the keynote at Day Of DotNetNuke in Nova Scotia, June 11!
Stay cool! It’s gonna get hot, hot, hot around here!
