Speed up your site administration with on page text editing

If you thought drag and drop modules were a nifty time saving feature, you're simply going to love the new on page editing feature in the Text/HTML module.

If you've spent any time training people to administer their new DNN site, you will have probably seen people attempt to select text and edit it directly on the web page. This always give me a great sense of pride (and a bit of a chuckle) as it suggests the DNN framework is so easy to use that even the most nervous first timer will forget they are building a web site and start behaving like they are back using their familar desktop word processor. Unfortunately I have now lost this chance to have a little giggle at the expense of others because DNN 3.3.0 really does deliver effortless on page editing with just a mouse click!

It's almost hard to believe it's a web page it's just so incredibly easy to use. Simply click on the text, click to position the cursor where you want to add or edit, and then type away. Simple formatting like bold, underline and italic can be inserted using the appropriate Ctrl key shortcut. When you done just click off the text and your changes will be saved.

Now that's a lot of time saved for simple editing tasks. Pure magic!
