Well, I'm finally back in St. Louis. We took a nice week long Vacation in Park City Utah this past week, I got to snowboard (which I haven't done in 10+ years) and spent a lot of time with my wife and her family. It was an excellent time, though we had some issues getting home yesterday (and the bags finally came today).
I also got some work done on the Wiki module while I was resting my sore bones from snowboarding in Utah. I have a few more things to finish up on the module and then I hope to get it into the release tracker. The goal is to have that finished up and submitted before the new year.
I just wanted to send out a quick thanks to the DotNetNuke community for a great 2007. It's been a fun year for me in regards to DNN. We are doing more and more work with DNN at Engage Software, and I've been able to travel all over the country for DNN Training classes with old and new clients. We're hoping to do even more training in 2008, offering some predefined/scheduled classes in St. Louis and possibly other locations around the US, along with our onsite training offerings that we have now.
Besides the "work" and "projects" for the team I managed to build and blow up one car. I sold my SUV and bought myself a new race car (and daily driver). I think 2008 is going to be a great year, with the new ride and a good friend of mine racing with me all year we hope to hit events all over the country. I may even be able to swing some of those trips into speaking sessions at DNN user groups ground the country if there is more interest out there like I had in 2007. I also hope to get the 240Z running again, though this time it won't be built for racing, just something to tinker with so I don't start messing around with the Z06 too much. I'm also, well I used to be, a music geek. I'm hoping to get myself playing more music in 2008.
Most of all, I hope to see each and every one of you at OpenForce in 2008! It was a great time in Vegas back in November, I hope that the conference in 2008 has quadruple the attendance!
Thanks for a great year and Happy Holidays!
