Active Social in the Core, Yahoo for all of us!!!

Wow, I am so excited that DotNetNuke Corporation has acquired Active Modules, Inc. and specifically the Active Social module!  I have had the opportunity to work with Active Social and Active Forum many times and these are some incredible module and will fit well in the DNN Community as a cornerstone set of modules.

In case you are not familiar with this module it is very similar to Facebook and other such Social Networking sites/module and offers Profiles, Connections, etc.   It is ideal for many applications that DNN is already used for including Community sites, Education/Training sites, and many others.

For my company (Netlogic Corporation) an Education and eLearning solutions company this will be a cornerstone for better adoption of our eLearning solution (Netlearn LMS, a set of DotNetNuke modules/extensions) since Social Networking is a Huge part of modern day learning and education.  I am sure many of DotNetNuke's Partners will also find this a great new set of features to easy adoption of the DotNetNuke Framework for their applications and clients.  

I cannot wait to see the very first version of DNN with these wonderful modules integrated into it!   Shaun and the whole DotNetNuke Corporation, you did good on this acquisition and I say Cheers to you!!!
