Version 05.02.02 of Events is released. This Events version is available as
download on CodePlex.
For this point release, we focused on stabilising by fixing a small number of bugs that popped up, sometimes as a result of new versions of DNN. All in all, I think that we,
the Events team, have created (again) a very stable version of Events. If you
download the new version from CodePlex, please rate/review it (stars are
welcome!).
A detailed list of the issues
involved can be found on
CodePlex.
For the record, I will list the release notes here.
BUG FIXES
- Scheduled search indexing process does not work. Fixed.
- Ensure there is no HTML in Module Title when used in PayPal
- Correctly display columns in user list after enrolee deletion
- DNN core 6.1.x changed how the BusinessControllerClass attribute is formatted, so check ModuleName of Events had to change as well
CHANGES
- Replace vbcrlf with space in tooltip
What next?
Roger Selwyn and I (the Events team) are working on the next release: Events
06.00.00. We will implement the new form UX/UI pattern of DNN6 as well as solve
the TimeZone and Daylight Saving Time issues once and for all. A long outstanding
issue that we can finally solve, since DNN6 (or should I say the .NET version related
to this) has functionality build in to handle DST correctly. In addition to
this, we will make the module SQL-Azure compliant.
The changes will require
DNN 6.1.x as minimum level, so start upgrading to the latest version if you have
not done so.
Can you assist us?
Is there a volunteer #dotnetnuke developer around that can help us (the
Events team) to implement Telerik RadScheduler in the DNN Events module? This is
a serious improvement for the module, and we can use some assistance in this...
Yoru reward: eternal fame in the DNN community and my offer for a free drink
when we meet in person. Mail me (ernstpeter.tamminga AT dotnetnuke.com) or ping me on Twiiter (@ernst_peter) to get into contact.
Thank you
The Events team would like to thank everyone who contributed to this release.
It is nice to experience positive feedback on the work that we, DNN Events team
volunteers, are carrying out.
