Gallery Project Update

The latest build of the DNN Media Gallery ran without issues on the last testing round by our internal Testing Team. I have to say many thanks to the Gallery Testing Team and special thanks to Chuck Buchanan and Jos Richter who ran all test cases several times and spent a lot of hours on project testing. So we are very near to a final public Beta release on the Gallery project site in the DotNetNuke Forge/CodePlex. The Beta release will permit the Gallery module to be tested in non-production environments only. Hopefully many community users will take the time to test and promptly report issues to our Forum. After fixing any posted issues as quickly as it is possible, we will finally be able to submit the module to the official DotNetNuke module release process.

It was a long way to this point as we had to overcome many problems and issues. Many enhancements were also made, especially in the areas of security, localization, better (but not complete) xhtml compliance, presentation, and performance. All members of the Gallery team spent a lot of voluntary time on this project since it woke up nearly a year ago. So goes my thanks also to the other team members - the developers and the team co-leads Néstor Sánchezand Bill Severance. 

We are near to the end of the developing for this first Gallery Module with 04.03.00 as its expected version number. DotNetNuke version 4.9.3 will be required as a minimum for Gallery installation. The Gallery has also been tested in DotNetNuke version 5.0.1.
