Working with moderators on the forum module.

I've been working with the forum module a lot this week and learnt that Administrators don't automatically become forum moderators when you create a moderated forum.

I was a bit surprised at first because I just assumed it would work this way, but when I thought about it I realised this was the best way to design the module.

If Administrators automatically became moderators on all moderated forums then it wouldn't really unburden them of this work load. Also, Administrators don't necessarily know or understand what is permissible in each forum.

All this reminded me that I often perceive DNN users as small teams of staff managing a site, rather than how a larger corporation would use it and distribute tasks.
