The skin contest last year was a great opportunity for many people to show off their skills while ‘giving back’ to the community with their free skins and design.
Since the technology landscape is always changing, the User Experience team thinks it’s time to challenge our community once again in the DotNetNuke Design Challenge so everyone can get involved by building something cool (if you haven’t already).
As you might know, DotNetNuke skinning involves more than just writing semantic markup and packaging files; we want to show the world the powerful skinning engine with freedom to creativity. We are proud to bring you the third contest this year! There are fewer categories this year and more awesome prizes!
This year you can enter in the following three categories (of course one entry cannot be in two categories and more):
One interesting category we have this year is the Zen Garden which allows non-DotNetNuke folks to be able to enter. This category challenge web designers to work with CSS, Javascript, and their creativity similar to the concept of CSS Zen Garden. So I hope to see more submissions from web designers out their who aren't familiar with DotNetNuke skinning but still able to demonstrate their creativity in this framework.
What can I win?
Awesome upgrade on the prizes this year you can win and among those popular gadgets that on the top of designers wishlist are digital SLR cameras, iPad 2, and many others.
Who are the judges?
Among the respected community members, we have the honor to have Beatrize Oliveira, Michael Angleles, and Timo Breumelholf to lend their hands as our judges. They have extensive knowledge in their fields and we believe they’ll provide great values to this contest.
We’re also thankful for the support from our sponsors and encourage our community to support them in any way we could as well.

Deadline for submission is April 16, 2011 at 6:00PM PST.
Good luck to everyone and hope to see more creative work this year!
