Microsoft Internship?

First off, let me let everyone know that the next version of Reports is coming out really soon now! I'm sorry for all the delays, the first weeks of a semester can be hecktic.

So, I've started the Fall semester (actually I'm one month in now) and things are finally settling into routine. I'm taking a really interesting course on the Implications of Computers in Society, discussing Artificial Intelligence, Privacy and other issues. I'm also doing a course on Operating Systems and one on Algorithms. Needless to say, I have an interesting courseload this semester, and I'll share some more about that in a later blog post.

Yesterday (Sept 27) was the first of two Career days on campus at SFU and Microsoft was there accepting candidates for their internship programs. I dropped of my resume in the early afternoon and was called up for a short interview later that afternoon. That interview was earlier this morning (Sept 28). I think I managed to impress the interviewer and will probably be progressing to the next step, which is very exciting for me.

I wanted to share this with the community because it is this community that has helped (even in the short time I have been participating actively) to get me to the level that I feel confident in applying for this position. So, I want to extend thanks to the community for their support.

Anyway, no matter the outcome, I'm not going anywhere until Summer 2007 and I have some interesting ideas on where to take the Reports module from here. So stay tuned :)
