XXL Meltdown

Based on the decisions from the Core Team chat, action was taken today to reclaim the DotNetNuke Forums as a communication tool dedicated only to the discussion of issues pertaining to the main development thread. This means that discussions related to the unsanctioned XXL hybrid will begin to be moderated immediately. This invoked some interesting discussion in the Forums, as the action came as a shock to many community members. Unfortunately it is the lack of communication on this issue which allowed it to get so seriously out of control in the first place. The DotNetNuke Core team needed to make it clear that XXL; for all intents and purposes, is an unsupported fork of DotNetNuke and people need to be aware of the associated upgrade risks.
