SourceGear has been a long time sponsor of the DotNetNuke project and I knew when Eric made this generous offer that I just had to participate (ok maybe I am just a sucker for geeky t-shirts).  More important than the t-shirt however, is the fact that Eric and SourceGear have provided the project a lot of support over the last couple of years and they have a great product. 

Since leaving GotDotNet a couple years back, we were able to get licenses for SourceGear Vault for the team.  Vault is not the most feature rich or fanciest version control system I have used (that honor is reserved for Starteam which was ultimately bought out by Borland), but when it comes to version control, fancy systems and more features are not the most important criteria.  When evaluating version control systems I look for a product that makes it easy to do the basic tasks, and that doesn't get in my way with overly complicated checkin/checkout processes.  It doesn't hurt to also have good integration with Visual Studio.

So if you are looking for a version control system I would definitely recommend evaluating SourceGear's products.  I think you will find their prices fairly competitive and they make a solid product with good customer support.
