As we lead up to DotNetNuke Connections November 1-4, 2010, Bill Walker and I are highlighting some of the speakers who will be presenting sessions at this year’s conference. Last week we introduced you to Brandon Haynes, today we’ll introduce you to one of the guys who has had the most influence on DotNetNuke in the past 4 or 5 years, Charles Nurse. So sit back and enjoy our brief interview with Charles, and stay tuned as we feature more speakers in the coming weeks. You might also check out some of the recently announced Offers for DNN Connections, some expire soon!

MVP Style Module Development - Deep Dive
Q. How long now have you been part of the DotNetNuke community?
A. Since early 2004 - I have been working directly on the core since Sept of that same year.
Q. Any specific sights, shows, or events that you plan to make time for while in Las Vegas this fall?
A. My wife will be attending with me this week and we will probably extend our stay over the weekend. I am hoping to rent a car and visit the Grand Canyon in neighboring Arizona.
Q. What is the first computer you ever owned?
A. Commodore 64
Q. Why are you looking forward to DotNetNuke Connections '10?
A. There are a usually a number of developers who are either new to DNN and are attending the conference in order to learn, or developers who are not active in the Forums.
Q. Why should people consider attending your session?
A. Module Development is a big part of what our Community is all about. In my session I will be taking a deep-dive into a new pattern that developers can use to produce quality modules by developing with testability in mind.
Q. When you’re not presenting, which session at DotNetNuke Connections are you most interested in attending?
A. I usually focus on Module Development topics
Q. Which sessions in the concurrent tracks at DevConnections you're particularly interested in attending?
A. I usually try and attend sessions in the ASP.NET track but this year I am particularly interested in the new Windows Phone 7 track and I will probably attend many of those sessions.
Q. What area of DotNetNuke do you specialize in?
A. I specialize in core development and architecture.
