As Chris Hammond posted a few weeks back in regards to the annual St. Louis Day of .NET event, I’d like to keep everyone who has an interest in attending it posted.
Our of the 50 speakers from across the country presenting on various platforms, we have 6 speakers in DotNetNuke community got invited to present at the event (and more are coming), those include Joe Brinkman, Chris Hammond, Ian Robinson, Mitchel Sellers, Shaun Mehaffie and myself. You can see a full list of speakers on their site here: http://www.stlouisdayofdotnet.com/Speakers.aspx
Beside many interesting sessions from other Microsoft technologies, our DotNetNuke community has an entire track with some cool new topics this year related to WebFormsMVP and Mobile Experience. If you didn’t get a chance to attend the event last year, this one is going to be much bigger in terms of attendance and sessions. You’ve got a lot of opportunity to learn and network!
The organizers had updated their site (which is running on DotNetNuke by the way) to allow filtering of sessions, speakers and different levels. Check it out here and see what might interest you: http://www.stlouisdayofdotnet.com/Sessions.aspx
So if you have not done it already, go ahead and register on the official website at http://stlouisdayofdotnet.com and get an excuse to visit St. Louis and meet other DotNetNuke community members. The registration cost is $200.00 so I think it’s fairly easy to convince your managers to send you to the event. The event is on August 20 and 21 so you'll have a month to plan things out.
On the side note, since Ian Robinson and I joined R2integrated late last year, we’ll be having a booth at this event and we’ll be running it so come on out and visit us. You might get a chance to win some prizes. Please feel free to contact the organizers or shoot me an email should you have any questions.
I look forward to seeing many of you there!
