I'm currently exploring DNN 9 to see if we can move our site from DNN 7.4.2.  In 7.4.2 there is an option to disable a page so that it acts like a top-level menu tab but does not allow for clicking. We have a site with a top menu where each item is just a heading for the sub-menus that show below when you mouse over the main tab.

Can anyone tell me where this setting exists now in DNN 9?

I believe it was an omission that will be corrected in the next patch.

It's definitely missing and is a bigger issue than just menus . Any page selection area such as add an existing module cant see disabled pages or their children.

Personally I think they need another document type in the page type settings labeled "Menu Placeholder" that creates this result. Limiting disable page to its indented purpose.

I've got a site in beta that's waiting on this to be patched before launch.

David,

the setting still exists in the Tabs table (column DisableLink). If you set this value to 1, you reach the desired effect - and don't forget to restart the application pool after you changed the value in the database.

I created a Jira ticket, feel free to add a comment that you need this functionality as well. It could accelerate the process of fixing... https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow...

Happy DNNing!

This was an oversight, as noted by Michael. The item will be added back to the UI in 9.1. You can see the item here: https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow.... Because that one exists, I am going to close out the other one Michael created.

Thanks for the update Chris. Any ETA on 9.1. The roadmap hasn't been updated in a while :)

Michael T. (As there are now 3 Michaels in the thread) - You can also access the setting via the old page settings via the old page manager http://yoursite.com/admin

however my note above about breaking of other functionality still stands. As of right now if a page is disabled you cant link to it or use one of its modules through many of the new tools.
