I installed the 6.04.01 version of the blog

When I add a new post everything looks good.

I go to another page then back to the blog page and the summary shows and all looks good.
If Iclick on the blog title to see the entire article I get a URL something like this

http://mysite.com/WoodworkersBlog/tabid/733/Post/2550/February-2017-Show-and-Tell

And A page not found error
404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Can someone tell me what is wrong here?

Wayne

The link below fixed my error

http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/activating-advanced-url-management

Basically it has to do with URL format

1. Open the web.config file, and search for 'urlformat'. You should find this in the section, like this:

add name="DNNFriendlyUrl" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Url.FriendlyUrl.DNNFriendlyUrlProvider, DotNetNuke.HttpModules" includePageName="true" regexMatch="[^a-zA-Z0-9 _-]" urlFormat="humanfriendly"

2. Change the urlFormat value to 'advanced', like this:

add name="DNNFriendlyUrl" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Url.FriendlyUrl.DNNFriendlyUrlProvider, DotNetNuke.HttpModules" includePageName="true" regexMatch="[^a-zA-Z0-9 _-]" urlFormat="advanced"

The change is where it says urlFormat= changed from "humanfriendly" to "advanced"
Save the web config and Bob's your uncle
