My client wants to upload PowerPoint (PPT) files to the Gallery module.  However, the allowable file extensions are hard-coded it appears -- the module is not taking on the Host Settings where you set allowable file extensions.

What's silly is that the help icon on the Gallery settings for media types, has a "Tip" that says to limit the fule types you allow to those viewable on the web.  That little snippet alone makes one assume those extensions can be changed somewhere.

Ideas?

The Gallery module is designed for viewing images and a limited number of video formats and cannot be used to view PowerPoint files. While it is true that the module receives its list of allowable file types from the site's host settings, I believe that it further limits those types to bmp, jpg, png, gif, wmv, mpg, swf, mov and possibly tif.
