I would like to restrict unregistered users from viewing certain albums in the gallery module (ver 4.3.0).  I've unchecked all users' view permissions in file manager for the album folder I would like to restrict.  However, when I return to the gallery module as an unregistered user, I can still click on the album and view all the pictures.  I must be mission something.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tom

Per album view permissions are not supported in the current Gallery version. As you have found, removing view permission for unauthenticated users on a particular album folder will not prevent an unauthenticated user from viewing the album's thumbnails or the preview image. It should, however, block use of the Download link or button.

We expect to implement much more granular permission control in one of the upcoming Gallery versions.

In the meantime, you might try creating another instance of the Gallery module and placing all albums to which unregistered users would not have access in that Gallery instance. Remove view permissions for all users from the module itself - effectively hiding the entire gallery module and its contents from unauthenticated users.

Thanks for the prompt reply.  I'll follow your suggestion and add another gallery module.

This is what I want but how do I add an existing album to a second Gallery?

Greetings,
Zanshin
