Hello,

I am using DNN 6.01.05
AD 5.0.2

AD is working when a user logins via
http://quickaccess
in our intranet.   It recognizes their credentials, no problem

But when I try the IP address associated with http://quickaccess e.g. http://172.24.54.201
The I.E. browser prompts for a Username and Password.

If I supply the Username and Password, it recognizes their AD credentials.  But I dont want it to prompt the Username and Password if the USER uses the IP address.

 Thoughts?

Try adding the IP to either the Trusted Sites or Local Intranet list in your Internet Options. I'm taking a guess that quickaccess is already in there.

Thank you for your reply Mike.  I checked both places and "quickaccess" is not listed there.   But I did add the IP address to the Local Intranet list and it seems to work.  In your reply you stated "quickaccess" should be there but its not.  If it isn't, why would I have to put the IP address in that area?   I have the IP address as part the the portal alias of "quickaccess" and also in my SITE BINDINGS area as my hostname in IIS.

Just trying to further understand the issue.

Thanks in advance,
