To be honest i have 2 questions.

1. I uploaded localization resources for Russian. Set default language to Russian and most of text i can see is Russian. But when new users come to register page they can see only english. I have checked the localization resource file (register.ascx.ru-RU.resx) and found that all fine. But still can't see any russian words on registration page. Why?

2. I want to customize registration page to remove First Name and Last Name fields from there.
As I understand right I need to make these changes in \controls\user.ascx control. So, i did these changes but can't find results on the site.
What i have to do to see changes?

PS: Cache is turned off.

  1. language for non-logged-in users is primarily derived from the user's browser settings
  2. First name and last name are needed by most of the modules, IMO it is NOT a good idea to remove them.

Ok. I understand. But why i can see russian in login page?
A lot of pages shows controls in russian except registration page.

And i've faced another one problem regarding localization... I can't find yet how to localize forum module.

It's looks very strange but i can't see russian words on registration page anyway.
I've checked www.dotnetnuke.ru and found the working version of registration page.
But still can understand why mine is not working right way.
