Hi

Is is it possible to generate a localisation for a language that isn't part of the standard locales supported by Microsoft for asp.net?  If so has anyone achieved this and could they give me a few pointers on how to do this.

Thanks

Les

Hi Les,

You raise an interesting point, I have seen some non-dotnetnuke localizations example that build a localization set based on a language such as Klingon. I'm assuming this is something you would like to do?

I haven't tried this in DotNetNuke, but you would somehow need to add this custom locale into the list of locales available to DNN, this is something that's in the core .NET framework though, so I'm not sure how to get it added in? Does anyone else know?

Hi Scott

Yes I need to extend a current site into a bi-lingual site, main language English and the second language - Gaelic.

One of the main purposes of the site is to particpate in the promotion of the latter which was once widely spoken in Scotland but has less than 70,000 speakers now both native and learner.   I settled for DNN as it allows the committee to update it directly without my intervention.
