I'm very excited about the new menu provider and StartTabID in particular.  However, I've been unable to get it to work.  I'm trying with both the SolPart and DNNMenu navigation providers, using the NAV skin control.  The menus are displaying at the portal root, regardless of the StartTabID I set.

I've tried several variations of the code, as one example here's the code to register the control:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="NAV" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Nav.ascx" %>

And here's the usage:

<dnn:NAV runat="server" id="dnnNav" CSSControl="MainMenu_MenuBar" CSSContainerRoot="MainMenu_MenuContainer" CSSNode="MainMenu_MenuItem" CSSIcon="MainMenu_MenuIcon" CSSContainerSub="MainMenu_SubMenu" CSSBreak="MainMenu_MenuBreak" CSSNodeHover="MainMenu_MenuItemSel" CSSIndicateChildSub="MainMenu_MenuArrow" CSSIndicateChildRoot="MainMenu_RootMenuArrow" MouseOverDisplay="highlight" ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" StartTabId="987" visible="true" />

Am I doing something incorrectly?

That looks fine to me, assuming you have a tabid of 987 in your portal.   Please send me your skin so i can install it locally and have a look.  Also, please let me know the version of DNN you are using.

Thank you, Jon.  How would you like me to get the skin to you?  DNN 4.3.3, it's been upgraded several times but point of origin was 4.something, back in January.

Page 9 and 10 of the DotNetNuke Navigation WebControls doc covers the use of the Level attribute.  I believe you want to have it set to Child, for you seem to not want the menu items siblings to be included (which would be the other root level items).

Somehow I missed that; it did the trick, thanks!
