Hi,

Anybody successful in having multiple wikis on one page.
When I add a new wiki or edit an existing, the wiki will be added/edited in all wiki modules on that page.

I'm using DNN 4.9.3

Kind regards,
Jos Berkhof

The wiki module is not designed to have multiple instances of the module on one page.

Thanks Chris for the confirmation.

Because we have a business need in having more then one wiki on a page, I've downloaded the source and made some amendments.
I'm not sure if this will be the best way to go forward but it looks like it's working now however I still need to test ratings and comments

Thanks
Jos

That's definitely one approach. The quickest way to do this would be to probably pass the ModuleID around in the URL as well when clicking on Wiki links, editing, etc. I haven't tried this, but perhaps we can look at this in the future for editing. The other problem is the display side, Wiki looks for the topic parameter, if you had multiple modules on the same page, both looking at this parameter they would try to load a topic individually.

Hi Chris,

That's exactly what I've done. It's a bit of a hassle to find all possible URL links and add the moduleid to it but it does the trick.
With regards to opening the Topic in the correct module, I've made a small amendment in the router.ascx.vb. Here is a getControl function which determines which ascx to load (Start, Edit, BlogTopic etc etc). I'm just comparing the current ModuleID and the ModuleID send via the URL. When they don't match the getControl will default back to the Start.ascx

Kind regards,
Jos
