I realize the the WIKI module can link to files via the FCK editor.  However, is there a way to attach images and documents as part of the document itself?   On a larger system with MANY wiki articles, it becomes more tedius and gets messy really easily when people have to upload images to the server.   Having it as part of the document (like a lot of other newer WIKI 's out there) will make DNN's WIKI much more scalable and easier to work with.   A lot of my users are too intimidated to upload files, but they can write good material but don't do so to it's full potential.

I realize the WIKI devs are busy, but here some ideas for possible implementation if it'd help:

  1. Have a table to hold image blobs and version #'s, linked back to WIKI.
  2. Store images automatically per wiki id/name as folder to keep things organized.  There'd probably be possible problems with storing like this on farm environment.
  3. To make attaching files/images easier, we really need a 1-2 step process (vs the current 4+ step FCK process browse, create folder to keep it organized, upload, and choose).

Just my 2 cents :)

I logged into GIMINI and couldn't find the option to add this as a feature request... I assume I don't have the rights to do this.  Am I overlooking something?
