Hi,

I have the following problem: In a F&L module I want to create a link to another website which is based on data in the list. This is quite an easy job, I created a calculated field that contains the data field in the querystring parameter, something like:

'<a href="http://www.somedetailsite.com/details?project=xyz&view=someView&datavalue=' + [FieldXYZ] + '" target="_blank">Details</a>'

Works so far. The problem is when the field value contains some special characters like Umlauts or spaces, I would need to Url-encode it, something like

'<a href="http://www.somedetailsite.com/details?project=xyz&view=someView&datavalue=' + UrlEncode([FieldXYZ]) + '" target="_blank">Details</a>'

I have been searching for a while now, but can't find any documentation of how this could be done. Is this possible with a newer version? Any ideas?

DNN 7.4.2/F&L 6.1.0

Happy DNNing!
Michael

Michael,
I fear, there is no urlencode support built into FnL itself, you would need a EXSLT's or XSLT 2. Sorry.

Maybe Stefan is able to provide you with a better option.
