I've got a couple of sites (DNN 5.1.4 + Links 4.1.0) with these two errors in the log viewer. Any idea? Thanks,
Francisco

If your certain that your Links module is version 04.01.00 (downloaded from dnnlinks project on CodePlex) and not version 04.00.01 (included within DotNetNuke framework version 5.2.1 and earlier), please note that version 04.01.00 is still in beta status. A beta version should be used for testing purposes only as it may not be upgradable to the final release when it becomes available nor to later releases.

If you installed version 04.01.00 as an upgrade from an earlier version of the links module, there is a good chance that the upgrade did not remove two assemblies from your site's /bin folder - DotNetNuke.Modules.Links.dll and DotNetNuke.Modules.Links.SqlDataProvider.dll thus causing these errors.

After verifying that your Links module is the beta version 04.01.00, please delete both of the above mentioned .dll files from your site's /bin folder. If you find that your Links module is actually the last official release, 04.00.01, DO NOT delete the two .dll files. We will then need to look elsewhere for the solution.

William,

I followed your instructions but couldn't find out anything. As was my fault to install the beta version, I've unininstalled it and installed the 4.0.1

Anyway, thanks for the help :-)

I have also discovered the same issue with two websites that have the Links 04.01.00 module installed.
Any help to rectify this issue would be greatly appreciated.

System Information:
DNN 5.1.4
Links 04.01.00 - 0544 – BETA

The following files were not present in the Bin folder or any other folder on the site:
DotNetNuke.Modules.Links.dll
DotNetNuke.Modules.Links.SqlDataProvider.dll

The following two errors appear in the log file (event viewer) multiple times per day:
