I am able to run a WMV file when I click on it from within the File Manager (I upload the file and then click on it to make sure it runs), but when I create a link to the file on my DNN Home page, Windows Media Player starts up and gives me a message indicating that it is 'connecting to media' , but it never opens and runs.

Are there settings that need to be switched to do this? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I had a similar problem, but it only occurred on one of two identical computers.  Both machines were XP set up for video editing, the first one wouldn't work so we went to the other one and it worked. It worked on my machine.  This seems to be a local problem.
