If I've defined a category (and a few items in that category) for the English language, am I able to translate/localize these values for a different language?

English is the site's default language and the feedback module is detached from the additional language (Spanish). I've translated/localized all of the module's labels but I am unsure how I'd translate the category items.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Kevin,
AFAIR, categories are stored in DNN Core Lists table, and unfortunately DNN Core does not provide a multilingual option for Lists (or Taxonomy). This has been logged as an issue and I'll try to get it on the roadmap for DNN 7.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Hi Kevin, Sebastian,

The Feedback categories are stored in the FeedbackLists table. It doesn't support localisation. I'd have to think about how to implement localisation. Have you got any suggestiobs Sebastian?

Hi Leupold,

I've got the same question and I am really really stuck. After a few months of building my DNN site betting on the multi-lingual and multi-portal capabilities, and really need to tag things, for Q&A module which will be integral parts of my communities and other features

So, already a problem of not being able to manage these tags per portal, and not being able to restrict the dictionaries by language...

In a related issue, I do not understand why for a multiplatform  solution, the central core Tag dictionary is Application scope, and not platform scope. Since I'll be running really different content sites, I would not want users getting the tags which do not apply to them i.e. someone talking about Dreams and their interpretation, getting proposed Dreamweaver as a tag...

What can be done ? Who must I beg to get this implemented ? (does not seem to be a huge development!=

I really do not want to manage 3 installations just for the tags..

And yes, I am willing to wait, since my site is still in heavy research and development.
