Hello,

on the latest version 6.1, how can the moderation rights be granted to a particular user?

I have added a user and assigned it to the main module with moderation posts and list management rights. However, the above user has no way to do that, at least I do not see it. Does it have to have module edit rights too? That way it will like an admin and that's not the intention, I guess.

Anybody seeing the same way?

Thanks

Franco

Hi Franco,

I've not really looked at how permissions work in DNN 6. It looks to me that or the 'Manage' menu to appear (on which you will find the Moderate/Edit Lists options) you must be a module editor. In my view this is wrong, so I'll investigate this further.

That said giving a user edit permissions will grant no extra rights on the module, so you are safe to do that.

Cheers

Roger

Hi Roger,

that's right, it works as supposed to by adding the edit right. Indeed, it might be fixed, but the 'workaround' solves it for now.

Thanks

Franco
