2 years ago , i installed a custom module using an install package.   I wanted to make a minor change to the module so I logged onto the site as a super user, went to the page, clicked on edit page, clicked on "develop" and made the minor change.  It did save but the page now displays an error due to an error in my code.  Now when I click on the "develop" link, nothing happens and I am not able to edit the code.

How do I modify the module?

1. Why was I able to modify it using the click on "develop" link but am not able to do that now?

2.  Do I need to "reinstall" the original package with the "original name" and if so, what are the steps to do that?

Unfortunately, I have not worked on dnn in more than 2 years and thus any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Karen

please check in DektopModules for the folder of the module (path should be listed in Host > Extensions) and check for the code files. you should be able to edit the file and fix your issue.
I suggest staying away from editing module using the link in Action Menu of the module.
