I wish to create some roles and execute code when ever a new Module Instance is dropped on the Page. Where do I write the code?

I understand there IUpgradable Interface, but that works when the Module gets Installed :( I don't want to execute the code when the Module Instance is dropped, but when the Module is used first time in the Portal i.e. when the Module Instance is dropped on the Page.

Where do I write the code?

just put it in the page init event of the module - you'll have to write logic to ensure it only runs once per tabmoduleid

I have done that, however, I am sure, it would be helpful if we have an Interface (like IUpgradable) to take care of such situation

missing metadata about the objects, its properties and events is one of the biggest issues, I hope we are able to solve in DNN next.
