Hi Guys,

I have a user who is interested in having the standard IE autocomplete functionality work with their login page. Basically if they go to the login page in Chrome etc it will ask to save their passwords, in IE it does not.  We have tried a few things per the interweb eg

1. We have removed the autocomplete tags from the login.ascx.cs page

2. We have removed the autocomplete tags from the default.aspx page

3. We have tried in the login popup along with the standard login page

4. We have tried diff versions of IE

5. Have tried with all sorts of combinations of trusted sites / autocomplete settings but no joy

I notice that it doesnt work on your website either along with around 50% of the sites I have tested it on incl Umbraco etc.

I appreciate the Remember Me button is a better option as it will log you straight in however for what ever reason this user isnt happy with that and wants the standard IE auto complete to work.

Have had a good hunt around online and there appears to be alot of misinformation about the topic online but nothing of any substance or value.

Any thoughts appreciated, I recognise this isnt a problem with DNN but with IE but would certainly make my life easier if there is a solution

Is the AutoComplete=false still rendered to the HTML after your changes?

Assume that this is working for you in IE on other sites, yes?
